Online Marriage License Application
Approved Premarital Course Provider List (pg.5, "Hekimian-Williams Elizabeth, Envision Love")

Flagler county requires an original certificate of completion.
If you register to take our course and intend to get your marriage license from this county, we will ask you for your mailing address at the end of the course so we can mail your certificate to you. You can avoid the mailing delay by applying for your marriage license in a nearby county that accepts a printout of our digital certificate. After all, you can get your Florida marriage license in any Florida county and use it to get married anywhere in Florida.

Marriage License Overview

If you plan to receive your marriage license, must appear in person at the clerk's office and provide:

  • A complete application (online application available)
  • Valid photo ID (driver's license, state issued ID, passport, etc.)
  • Social security numbers (or alien registration number)
  • Marriage license fee

Fees & Discounts

The cost for the marriage license, including the state and county fees is $93.50. However, couples who attend an approved premarital course will only pay $61.00. In order to receive this discount, the couple must bring the premarital course certificate of completion with them when they apply for their license.

Flagler County Ceremonies

There is a wedding chapel onsite where couples can have a ceremony for a small fee of $30. However, if you wish to have the ceremony performed, you must make an appointment. Appointments can be scheduled between 8:30am - 11:30am, and 1:30pm and 3:30pm. They do not allow you to schedule a ceremony between 11:30am and 1:30pm.

Marriage License Use & Restrictions

When you apply for your Florida marriage license, there will be a 3-day waiting period before the marriage license is effective and a couple may be legally married. However, couples that take an approved premarital course are exempt from the waiting period. Non-Florida residents are also exempt from the waiting period. Once you receive your marriage license, it is valid for 60 days from the issue date. The license must be returned to the clerk's office within 10 days after the ceremony is performed.
